Stuart J. Zukerman
Stuart was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. He came to Vancouver in 1981 to complete his education at the University of British Columbia, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985 and his Law degree in 1988
Mr. Zukerman has been practicing law for over the past 32 years in the area of Litigation. His practice has focussed on Family Law, Personal Injury, Wrongful Dismissal claims, and Collaborative Divorce & Mediation.
Mr. Zukerman has extensive trial & courtroom experience in a wide range of matters including:
Divorce; Custody of and Access to children; Spousal and Child Support; Asset division upon breakdown of Common Law Relationships; Division of Family assets including issues of inheritances, business assets, shares, pensions and other investments; ICBC injury claims, slip & fall claims & Wrongful Dismissal/Employment claims and Breach of Contract claims.
In addition to Mr. Zukerman’s litigation practice, he is an accredited Family Law Mediator who can assist former spouses in avoiding the expense and stress of Court hearings by reaching mutually beneficial settlements of all issues arising out of the parties marital/relationship breakdown.
Stuart Zukerman has authored a number of papers on family law topics which have been published by the Continuing Legal Education Society of B.C. and has been a guest lecturer at numerous Family Law CLE courses and has lectured for a variety of community service organizations including The People’s Law School and the Jewish Family Services Agency as well as conducting monthly Pro Bono legal clinics through the Western Canadian Society to Access Justice.
