Tim P. Star
Tim Star is an associate lawyer and focuses exclusively on family law matters. Tim obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, B.C. He obtained a Juris Doctor (Law) from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, B.C. While in law school Tim was an active member of the Human Rights Club. Tim completed his articles at Zukerman Law Group after joining the firm as an articling student in November 2015.
Tim works hard to help his clients reach fair settlements out of court. Tim is confident and assertive in court and has successfully represented clients before the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia. He has helped his clients resolve all types of family law disputes including disputes over parenting time, child support, spousal support, and property division. In the case of CLP v DRP 2017 BCSC 432, Tim successfully represented a client at a 5 day Supreme Court trial involving child relocation.
Outside of work Tim enjoys volunteering in the community and spending time with family and friends. Tim’s volunteer work includes representing clients who are involuntarily detained under the Mental Health Act, delivering hot meals to low income clients in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, and mentoring incarcerated youth.
